Monday, October 04, 2010Helloooooo everyone!!I'm finally back.. haha.. Decided to make a short post about my super happening week ahead and a little about the nice places that I've recently visited (to eat as usual). =D So to start my October feast... On Childrens' Day, my besties and I headed to Fruit Paradise to try out their lovely looking tarts and here they are! =D So basically their tarts are built on 3 main types of base, and by base, I refer to that small layer of thing (not cream) just above the tart base (which is that dark brown thing). I think the chocolate base tasted the nicest so if you do try that place out, pick something with the chocolate base alright? haha... Didn't quite enjoy it on the whole though cause mine (mango) was made of like 70% cream as you can see from the picture. And I hate cream! Their tasteless and squishy! haha.. Plus, that place is kinda pricey. All the tarts you see above are $6.80 per slice. They are having some tea time promotion now... not sure about the details but I think you can get any slice of tart and their tea/coffee at 9.80++. On 2nd of October... I dated my sis to...... OBOLO!!! =D Obolo is located around Katong area, for more information about the place, just google Obolo! haha... Their website will definitely make you salivate. Hahaha! Anyways, I happened to discover that shop after a short walk along Katong street that day and after looking at the newspaper articles and checking out their website, I told my sis I MUST try their Noisette and it was definitely worth the visit. =) Although I must say for a cheapskate Auntie like me, paying $7.20++(due to g.s.t) was slightly above my ideal price for a slice of cake, I enjoyed it nonetheless. =) My sister's choice was a cheesecake thingy, and it was quite nice with big whole macademia nuts in it. Her's was $7.20++ as well. I think that shop's pretty known for their macroons cause the subsequent customers that came in bought macroons in like half a dozen at least! Well... so I end my little October feast here for awhile... I'll be back with more foodie updates cause this week.... Mon - Republic of Steak! Tues - Blk MAF Wed - TIFFIN ROOM HIGH TEA!! WHEEEEEEEE Thurs - Freshie's Supper! =D So be sure to look out for more yummylicious pics eh! =D Take care everyone and have a great week!! =) |
